POS Weekly Summary and Custom Markets now available in Custom Download

22.10.2024

With the latest update, we’ve added the POS Weekly Summary dataset to the Custom Download section, allowing you to tailor it to your specific needs instead of relying solely on the Full Download. Additionally, we’ve introduced the Custom Markets filter, which is now available in the Custom Download section for even more flexibility.

What can be customized in the POS Weekly Summary dataset?

Previously, POS Insights data was only available through the Full Download option. Now, you can customize your POS Weekly Summary dataset directly in the Custom Download section, giving you more control and flexibility.

To customize this dataset, navigate to the Custom Download section and select ‚POS Insights (Weekly Summary)‘ under the ‚Customize your download‘ option. You can then either manually set an absolute time range or choose from predefined options (details on the differences are available in the Changelog from 23.09.2024). The following predefined time periods are available:

  • No option: No time range selected
  • L1W: Last 1 week
  • L3W: Last 3 weeks
  • L12W: Last 12 weeks
  • L52W: Last 52 weeks

A longer time period can be selected, up to 3 years, by setting an absolute time range. Due to the size of the dataset, it’s mandatory to apply filters (by Product, ATC classes, Custom Markets, or Company).

After applying a filter to the dataset the following dimensions are available:

  • Category Visibility: The visibility of the category as a percentage (0-100%), measuring how prominently a product appears within shop categories, considering page number and position.
  • Availability: The product’s availability in the shop as a percentage (0-100%), recorded daily as a yes/no value and displayed as a 7-day average.
  • Rebates: The average discount of a product, calculated as the percentage deviation of the rAVP from the UVP/AVP for the corresponding calendar week.
  • Price rAVP: The actual average selling price of the product for the calendar week in EUR.
  • Price UVP/AVP: The recommended retail price of the product as stated in the shop, averaged for the calendar week in EUR.
  • Rating: The product’s average rating (0-5).
  • Total Ratings: The total number of product ratings.
  • Days Crawled: The number of days the shop was crawled during the week.
  • Calendar Week: The calendar week to which the data applies.
  • Calendar Year: The calendar year to which the data applies.
  • Product URL: The link to the product on the external shop website.
  • Product URL: The link to the product on the external shop website.

Finally, review the customized dataset settings in the summary, save them as a configuration for future exports, and export the data as a CSV file.

New Filter Option in the Custom Download Section: Filter by Custom Market

You can now filter the datasets OTC Insights, POS Insights (Weekly Summary), and OTC Maps by Custom Markets. After selecting your desired dataset, go to the “Filter options” step and choose “Filter by Custom Market,” then select the Custom Market you have already created (for more information on Custom Markets, see the Changelog from 28.05.2024 and 08.10.2024). To create new Custom Markets, simply go to POS Insights or the Market Overview and create them as usual.

You can now filter the OTC Insights, POS Insights (Weekly Summary), and OTC Maps datasets using Custom Markets. After selecting your desired dataset, proceed to the ‚Filter options‘ step, choose ‚Filter by Custom Market,‘ and select the Custom Market you’ve previously created. For more information on Custom Markets, refer to the Changelog from 28.05.2024 and 08.10.2024.

In general, these filter options are available for the above listed datasets (see image 1):

  • Filter by Market: Filter by ATC markets using the ATC classification from INSIGHT Health.
  • Filter by Custom Market: Select from your pre-created Custom Markets.
  • Filter by Product: Filter by specific products, product groups, or brands.
  • Filter by Company: Filter by companies (see also Changelog from 18.09.2024).
